Bible Basics
It's very important that you study and meditate on God's Word. When you do this, God's Word is hidden in your heart and gives you the tools you need to live a successful New Life.
Think of it this way: NO SCRIPTURE, NO POWER: KNOW SCRIPTURE, KNOW POWER.
Breaking It Down
- The New Testament consists of 27 books and is divided into 4 groups:
Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John
- History: Acts of the Apostles
- Epistles: Romans, 1st & 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, 1st & 2nd Timothy, Titus, Philemon, 1st & 2nd Peter, Hebrews, James, Jude, and 1st, 2nd, & 3rd John.
- Prophecy: Revelation
Where do I start?
The Bible is a big book with page after page of Godly knowledge and wisdom. It may be overwhelming to you but here are some points to help get you started: 
- Read the Gospel of John, James, and 1st John to get some basics about your New Life.
- Attend Regular church services and Bible Studies to get even more topics to study.
- Don't be afraid to write in your Bible. It's the text book for the rest of your life! So take notes, and underline or "star" important passages to make them easier to find later.
